BECOME A HOST COURSE

We have developed golf outings for the high handicapper or casual golfer who has never breached the 100, 90 or 80 stroke milestone.  To schedule these outings, we need host sites to partner with us.

What is required from a host site?

  • Must have 18 available holes of golf but not all holes can be par 3's.  (A 9-hole course can be played twice)
  • Schedule a date for the outing and block off a predetermined number of tee times.  (The maximum number of golfers is determined by the host course)
  • Provide outing mentors with advanced course knowledge.  (Reference sheets indicating distances, hole locations, and preferred landing zones for each hole.)
  • Provide Golf Mentors for each grouping. (A mentor is a volunteer who will accompany a designated threesome.  They are required to have a 10 handicap or less and their main purpose will be to provide course management tips and advice.)
Benefits:
  • Host course picks the day of the outing. (Pick a day which would benefit your bottom line)
  • Our turnkey program minimizes your staff resources while adding revenue.
  • Potential to grow your teaching professional's client base.
  • Opportunity to promote your course activities and events.

Host Course FAQ's:

There is no cost to host an outing?

Correct, there is no charge to our host courses.  Golf Die Hard charges the golfers a registration fee in addition to the host course fee to attend the outing.

Are food and drinks included in the registration fee?
Typically no, however the host course may choose to include a meal, but that would be included in the host course registration fee.

What happens if the outing is canceled?
The outing will be rescheduled at the discretion of the host course.  Please have a contingency date in place prior to the outing in case it is canceled.

Is this a tournament?
No, it is a fun, casual golf outing.  The intent is to bring golfers of similar skill levels together in a supportive environment where they might reach a new low score, possibly breaking 100.

What happens after our course registers?
One of our staff will contact the host course applicant to discuss the outing and answer any questions before being approved.  We want our host courses to understand fully what is expected on the front end.

Why are the groups set up as threesomes?
Since the Breaking 100 group golfers are not highly skilled, they will need extra time to navigate the course.  It will improve the pace of play and not bog down your golf course.

What is a golf mentor
?
It is a volunteer with a 10 handicap or less will guide a threesome around the course.  They are the experts in course knowledge and will show the golfers where to be on each shot giving them the best chances of success.

Why is a golf mentor necessary?
They are a key component to the golf outing.  Most high handicappers feel intimidated or they're holding up the better player when golfing.  The mentor will be the expert they've always wished they had while playing a round, or were afraid to ask for their advice if paired with one.
